School Programs

The International Bowling Museum & Bowling Hall of Fame is a great way to put the fun back in learning. Not only are we available for basic school tours, but we can make it the total learning experience.
Check it out. You can further your classroom objectives outside of the classroom setting. Plus, we even include four free frames of bowling (time permitting) for the students. How fun is that?!!!
Here are some of the things in store for your students:
SUM SCORING
Help your youngsters hone their arithmetic skills. Bowling is about keeping score, and keeping score is all about addition and subtraction. One pin, six pins, a spare, or a strike! By learning to score, students do horizontal addition and counting by tens. Math has never been so fun!
BOWL-A-FACT
Knock down all the pins for a strike in this bowling game that explores number patterns and relationships.
CONSUMER MATH
Get your shopping list and play money! Learn to work behind the register! This fun class strengthens student consumer math skills by applying them to real-life situations.
BOWLING MEASURES UP!
Students explore the museum on a scavenger hunt to measure museum objects and areas. This class offers an exciting way to expand students' knowledge by solving various measurement problems using standards or metric systems.
SPORTS GRAPHING & STATISTICS
Singles, home runs, spares and strikes! Students analyze batting or bowling results and construct and interpret graphs from the sports data. Advanced students also determine range, mean, median, mode, and ratios from the data.
ALGEBRA FUN
An introduction to Algebra thinking designed to help students understand equations and express ideas symbolically. Students will work with linking circles and balance.
EDUCATIONAL TOUR
The guided tour acquaints students with the history of bowling. The exhibits show the integration of both sports into our society and highlights bowling’s greatest male and female role models.
